LAY  OF  THE  LAND

The Town of Rutledge is located in south central Alabama on gently rolling hills.
There are wide-open pastures, terraced fields, hardwood forest  and  marshy river bottoms. Some of the farm enterprises are: Cattle, Cotton, Corn, Chickens, Peanuts
and Pine Trees.
The picture to the left is the Primitive Baptist
Church established in late 1800. Rutledge also has the First Baptist Church, the Methodist
Church and Roxanna Baptist Church.
Rutledge is blessed with water, clear and pure from underground for drinking, and rivers and streams for fishing. The river
bottoms also provide excellent hunting
for deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, wild hog
and raccoon. The upland fields provides hunting for doves and quail as well as deer and turkey.
